SMUGGLING DUDS UFC 300 GAMBLING GUIDE

So here it is, the 300th UFC event and our final gambling guide. We hope you have enjoyed the ride as much as we have!

Main Card (TNT Sport)

Alex Pereira (c) vs. Jamahal Hill (Light Heavyweight)

The main event we did not know we wanted, featuring a former champion Hill, competing for a belt he never really lost. Hill and his team have been telling us for years that ‘Sweet Dreams’ is the real deal, and it is he who has the most devasting hands in the division. If he can take out the current champion, fans will have no choice but to believe them. Is this too early for Hill? Who had to vacate the title following a bad ACL injury? We think so unfortunately. The Brazilian knows the drill and will be looking to take away Hill’s legs early on to then pounce the only way ‘Poatan’ knows how – cold blooded. Pereira to win in round 3 or 4 but be sure to check out our wild card bet at the end of the guide.

WINNER: Pereira

METHOD: KO/TKO

Zhang Weili (c) vs. Yan Xiaonan (Women’s Strawweight)

China takes on China in a highly anticipated bout between two extraordinarily strong female fighters. Zhang Weili is built differently and looked terrifying against Amanda Lemos last Summer. Xiaonan is good, but she’s not great. If her fellow countrywoman takes pity on her it will go the distance, but we think the ref waves this one of midway.

WINNER: Weili

METHOD: KO/TKO

Justin Gaethje vs. Max Holloway (Lightweight)

A fight that determines the UFC’s modern day BMF. On a card of incredible matchups, this is the one fight we are looking forward to the most. An obvious contender for FOH, we predict absolute carnage. Both love to ‘swang and bang’ but without a tough weight cut and a fresh hair style, it is the Hawaiian superstar who gets his hand raised with his signature barrage of overwhelming strikes.

WINNER: Holloway

METHOD: KO/TKO

Charles Oliveira vs. Arman Tsarukyan (Lightweight)

We have gone back and forth on this one and as much as it pains us to go against him, we foresee ‘do Bronx’ seeing stars against a younger, faster and stronger Tsarukyan.

WINNER: Tsarukyan

METHOD: Decision

Bo Nickal vs. Cody Brundage (Middleweight)

A bigger upset than Holly Holms perhaps, should Brundage pull something out the hat against an athlete nobody really wants to fight right now. When all is said and done Nickal is a real talent and should give his employers another highlight reel finish.

WINNER: Nickal

METHOD: KO/TKO

Prelims (TNT Sport)

Jiri Prochazka vs. Aleksandar Rakic (Light Heavyweight)

Having not competed since May 2022 due to a knee injury, Rakic is up against it against a man who will do everything he can to erase the memories of his last performance. Expect an abundance of leg kicks from Rakic (this worked for Pereira when they fought) but if/when that doesn’t work - it will be lights out.

WINNER: Prochazka

METHOD: KO/TKO

Calvin Kattar vs. Aljamain Sterling (Featherweight)

This will be the first outing for ‘The Boston Finisher’ since picking up a nasty injury in October of 2022 against Arnold Allen. That reason alone means getting a win over the former champ even more of a bigger challenge. Just because he got taken out by O’ Malley on relatively short notice last August, doesn’t mean ‘Funkmaster’ should be counted out.

WINNER: Sterling

METHOD: Submission

Holly Holm vs. Kayla Harrison (Women’s Bantamweight)

If Holms beats the PFL standout and former Olympian, it will be the biggest upset on the card. Nobody is giving the former UFC title holder a chance here and to be fair, they are probably right. We can’t see anything other than Harrison pinning Holms to the canvas for three rounds in a relatively boring affair. A few quid on Holms for the upset is worth a punt for sure.

WINNER: Harrison

METHOD: Decision

Sodiq Yusuff vs. Diego Lopes (Featherweight)

Yusuff is no push over, but Lopes is a star in the making. It will take something ‘Super’ special for Sodiq to get the win against a fighter who looked untouchable last year.

WINNER: Lopes

METHOD: Submission

Early Prelims (UFC Fight Pass)

Jalin Turner vs. Renato Carneiro (Lightweight)

Super tough one to call as both fighters have looked better than ever recently. In previous gambling guides we have not picked ‘Moicano’ when we really should have so this time, therefore we will be backing the Brazilian.

WINNER: Moicano

METHOD: Decision

Jessica Andrade vs. Marina Rodriquez (Women’s Strawweight)

On paper this has the potential to be a decent scrap as both fighters prefer to keep it on the feet. We might regret saying this, but something tells us Rodriquez is going to rise to the occasion and come out on top.

WINNER: Rodriquez

METHOD: Decision

Bobby Green vs. Jim Miller (Lightweight)

There is every chance Green rises to the occasion and pieces Miller up with his faster hands, but none of that matters because we are rooting for the 40-year-old veteran of the sport to tick another box in a remarkable UFC career.

WINNER: Miller

METHOD: Submission

Deiveson Figueirdo vs. Cody Garbrant (Bantamweight)

A solid match-up between two former champions to get the party started. Cody will always have a punchers chance, but Figueirdo should have more in his arsenal to get the job done and remain relevant within the division.

WINNER: Figueirdo

METHOD: Decision

UFC 300 WILDCARD BET: Jamahal Hill def Alex Pereirra via KO/TKO
