SMUGGLING DUDS UFC 231 GAMBLING GUIDE

What a card this one is! Let’s dive straight in and win some pre Christmas cash shall we? Holloway vs Ortega should be a classic!

UFC 231

MAIN CARD
Max Holloway (C) Vs Brian Ortega (FW)
A lot of people will read this and think ‘No way’ but we say ‘YES WAY’. Ortega has looked incredible this year and seems to be improving in every bout. Not to say Holloway hasn’t, he too is one of the best fighters in the world, we love ‘Blessed’ and he has made us some decent cheddar over the years but Ortega wins this one. Expect ‘T-City’ to be one of the biggest stars of the sport in 2019.
WINNER: Ortega
METHOD: Submission

Valentina Schevchenko Vs Joanna Jedrezejczyk (FLY)
It seems crazy that these two have never met in the UFC octagon before but they have actually competed against each other in Muay Thai, with Shevchenko taking a decision win. Joanna isn’t the force she once was and Bullet will already have a phycological advantage here so won’t be intimidated by the former champ. A very interesting match up that we think might not go the way many expect.
WINNER: Shevchenko
METHOD: Submission

Claudia Gadelha Vs Nina Ansaroff (STRAW)
Ansaroff may not have the biggest profile in the UFC but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t got the skills to beat Gadelha. This will be her toughest test yet but realistically, the Brazilian star will be too much for her.
WINNER: Gadelha
METHOD: Decision

Jimi Manuwa Vs Thiago Santos (LHW)
An exciting bout that had to be put on ice due to Manuwa getting injured, but never mind, here we are at last! This will be nothing short of a slug fest with two powers houses head hunting from the opening bell. Who lands the power shot first? Hopefully Manuwa.
WINNER: Manuwa
METHOD: KO/TKO

PRELIMS (Fox Sport 1)
Alex Oliveira Vs Gunnar Nelson (WW)
Nelson hasn’t fought since the summer of last year, this will be a big factor for sure as the active Oliveira will be looking to build on his success this year and welcome the once feared Icelandic warrior back to the big stage.
WINNER: Oliveira
METHOD: KO/TKO

Katlyn Chookagian Vs Jessica Eye (FLY)
You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to know this one will go the distance. Eye seems to have found her rhythm of late bit Chookagian might be the one getting her arm raised in this one.
WINNER: Chookagian
METHOD: Decision

Devin Clarke Vs Aleksandar Rakic (LHW)
Rakic to go an impressive 11 fights undefeated for sure.
WINNER: Rakic
METHOD: Decision

Eryk Anders Vs Elias Theodorou (MW)
The handsome decision victory king to get another win...by decision obviously.
WINNER: Theodorou
METHOD: Decision

PRELIMS (UFC Fight Pass)
Brad Katona Vs Mathew Lopez (BW)
We think the plan here is to give Katona a relatively easy bout to build on his TUF win. Could be worth a punt on the underdog but Katona should cruise to victory with relatives ease.
WINNER: Katona
METHOD: Submission

Hakeem Dawodu Vs Kyle Bochniak (FW)
Another close one but surely a man that can go the distance with Zabit Magomedsharipov has enough in the tank to get the nod here.
WINNER: Bochniak
METHOD: Decision

Olivier Aubin-Mercier Vs Gilbert Burns (LW)
An extremely tough one to call. This has the potential to go the distance and Aubin-Mercier must not under estimate Burns.
WINNER: Aubin-Mercier
METHOD: Decision

Chad Laprise Vs Dhiego Lima (WW)
Lima will go into the this a huge underdog and rightly so. He’s going to have to put on the performance of his life here or else the former TUF contestant will be sent packing from the UFC for a second time.
WINNER: Lima
METHOD: KO/TKO

John Makdessi Vs Carlos Diego Ferreira (LW)
A stoppage might not be a bad shout but Ferreira to maintain his winning streak regardless.
WINNER: Ferreira
METHOD: Decision
