SMUGGLING DUDS UFC FIGHT NIGHT 130 GAMBLING GUIDE

Wed, 05/23/2018 - 15:55 -- David

The UFC returns to British shows in what is expected to be an electric atmosphere at the Liverpool Echo Arena. Can Darren Till and fellow Scouser Molly McCann raise the roof? Let’s find out...

Main Card (Fox Sports 1)
Stephen Thompson Vs Darren Till (WW)
This is where we see a new superstar born. Darren Till has the confidence but more important the skills to pay the bills. A win over standout fighter and former title challenger Stephen Thompson will be enough to take the roof off on Saturday night. It won’t be easy - although that’s we all said about Cowboy Cerrone...and we all know how that one ended.
WINNER: Till
METHOD: Decision

Neil Magny Vs Craig White (WW)
When all hope was lost local (well, Devon) fighter Craig White steps up from the Cage Warrior roster to be handed a main card slot against seasoned veteran Neil Magny on only 2 weeks notice. What a Rocky story this would be if White does the unthinkable. A lot to ask on such short notice though.
WINNER: Magny
METHOD: Submission

Arnold Allen Vs Mads Burnell (FW)
Fingers crossed UK fans will actually get to see Arnold Allen back in action as it has been over a year since he competed. The young prospect hasn’t had the best of luck outside of the octagon but we are sure he’ll be back with a bang this weekend.
WINNER: Allen
METHOD: KO/TKO

Jason Knight Vs Makwan Amirkhani (FW)
After losing a very close decision in his last fight Amirkhani will be on a mission to keep his name in the spotlight. Knight is one tough cookie but his last two performances have shown he might not be the fighter we thought he was.
WINNER: Amirkhani
METHOD: KO/TKO

Davey Grant Vs Manny Bermudez (BW)
This is an extremely dangerous match for Grant as Bermudez has been handing out submissions for fun in recent outings. Coming off a loss makes this even harder for the former TUF contestant. One thing about Grant is that he never gives up and after a lengthy time off should be be back feeling fresher than ever.
WINNER: Grant
METHOD: Decision

Eric Spicely Vs Darren Stewart (MW)
Both fighters currently experiencing terrible runs (not that kind) in their careers. For Stewart especially, this could be his last UFC bout if he doesn’t pull out all the stops. He must fight like his contract is at stake but for some reason we think it could be bad news for ‘The Dentist’
WINNER: Spicely
METHOD: Submission

Prelim Card (Fox Sports 1)
Claudio Silva Vs Nordin Taleb (WW)
Silva is an exceptional talent but hasn’t fought since 2014. This makes it difficult to not go with Taleb who is much more active and has shown major improvements in his game.
METHOD: Taleb
WINNER: Decision

Dan Kelly Vs Tom Breese (MW)
Breese is another fighter on the card making his long awaited comeback. After 2 years out of competition the Birmingham native, now part of the Tristar set up in Canada, will be making a statement here.
METHOD: Breese
WINNER: KO/TKO

Brad Scott Vs Carlo Petersoli Jr (WW)
At one point it didn’t look like Brad Scott was going to get on this card but a quick turn around in opponent means another UFC pay cheque should be coming his way. Let’s hope there’s a winners bonus in it.
METHOD: Scott
WINNER: Decision

Gillian Robertson Vs Molly McCann (FLY)
The other reason (apart from Darren Till) this card is taking place in Liverpool is fellow Scouser Molly McCann, who brings with her an army of local fans. Can she prevail in the UFC? She won’t have a choice on the night.
METHOD: McCann
WINNER: Decision

Prelims (Fight Pass)
Elias Theodorou Vs Trevor Smith (MW)
Strange to see Theodorou so far down the card but the fan favourite should take a comfortable decision win here.
WINNER: Theodorou
METHOD: Decision

Gina Mazany Vs Lina Länsberg
Mazany to movie forward and Länsberg to take another step back in their UFC careers.
WINNER: Mazany
METHOD: KO/TKO
