Jim Alers is the current Cage Warriors Featherwright Champion having an impressive 11-1 record with 10 of his 11 wins being finishes. Jim also has 3 submission of the night awards and fights out of Orlando USA. He started training BJJ in 2005 after wrestling in high school and had his first MMA fight in 2008.
Alers decide to compete in MMA to see if his BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) will work in real life situations. He trains full time at Alliance Orlando Jiu Jitsu Centre but has trained all over Florida and other gyms in the US such as The Jungle VRMA and Roufus Sports Academy training with the likes of the UFC lightweight champ Anthony Pettis, Sergio Pettis, Vagner Rocha and the great Bruno Malfacinie in BJJ.
