SMUGGLING DUDS UFC 226 GAMBLING GUIDE

It sure feels like its been a while since we did a gambling guide and this is a card we’ve been looking forward to for ages so here we go!

UFC 226

Please don’t forget to like and share on social media and let the world know who’s predictions actually bring home the bacon.

MAIN CARD
Stipe Miocic (C) Vs Daniel Cormier (HW)
Daniel Cormier steps back up to heavyweight in an opportunity that is too good to miss. The former LHW champ faces the organisations longest reigning heavyweight champ in a fight he can win for sure. Many haven’t given Miocic the respect he deserves and have massively underestimated his skills (mainly his punching power) leaving them asleep on the canvas floor. ‘DC’ wont make this mistake and will stick to a safe game plan that will involve copious amounts of single leg take downs. The size difference will have an effect for sure but history will be made here and a new champion will be crowned.
WINNER: Cormier
METHOD: Decision

Max Holloway Vs Brian Ortega (FW)
What a fight we have here! If you are a casual fan who only tunes in to watch Conor McGregor then educate yourself with this one. Two amazing and respected athletes at the top of their game going head-to-head. To be honest this one wasn’t a difficult one for us as after his last performance, we have to go with Ortega, who just looks unstoppable right now. Sorry Max!
WINNER: Ortega
METHOD: Submission

Francis Ngannou Vs Derrick Lewis (HW)
Some reporters will try and convince you this might not be an absolute slugfest. Don’t listen to them. We guarantee it will be like something out of the Wild West, with two of the division’s heaviest hitters throwing down in terrifying style, until one goes down or gasses! Ngannou will be looking to bounce back from his defeat to Stipe Miocic in dramatic style and in Derrick Lewis he faces someone who won’t bother with any takedowns or leg kicks. This one isn’t going the distance.
WINNER: Ngannou
METHOD: KO/TKO

Micheal Chiesa Vs Anthony Pettis (FW)
Now that everyone knows Pettis isn’t the force he once was, this is a tough one to call. You can never count Chiesa out and on paper Pettis should take this one but he’ll have to be on his toes for the whole 3 rounds if he’s going to play it safe and secure the points victory from distance.
WINNER: Pettis
METHOD: Decision

Gokhan Saki Vs Khalil Roundtree (LHW)
Due to injury we haven’t seen the former Glory fighter in action since September 2017. Kick boxing legend Saki will finally face his TUF competitor Khalil Roundtree in what will actually end up being a kick boxing bout, as neither favours the ground. In his UFC debut it was clear Saki got caught up in the occasion and his bout turned into a full on brawl that almost saw him get taken out. This one has the possibility to go the same way. Many think this is an easy win for Saki but Roundtree has serious standup skills, so don’t count him out.
WINNER: Saki
METHOD: KO/TKO

PRELIM CARD (Fox Sports 1)
Uriah Hall Vs Paulo Costa (MW)
Costa defines the new breed of fighter, which is crazy because this is exactly what Uriah Hall was referred to after his success in the TUF house! Expect him to start aggressive and take out Hall in the second round.
WINNER: Costa
METHOD: KO/TKO

Paul Felder Vs Mike Perry (WW)
Originally booked to fight Yancy Medeiros, fans will now get to see what will no doubt be an equally entertaining if not more entertaining bout as Paul Felder steps in on late notice. Once blows start connecting both fighters are prone to letting their emotions run wild but Felder seems to be on great run at the moment and although Perry might be the bigger puncher, Felder will spot an opportunity later in the fight.
WINNER: Felder
METHOD: KO/TKO

Raphael Assuncao Vs Rob Font (BW)
Two extremely durable bantam weights. This one has going the distance written all over it. Assuncao should be able to do enough to sway the judges.
WINNER: Assuncao
METHOD: Decision

Curtis Millender Vs Max Griffin (WW)
Fans will be looking forward to seeing Millender back in action again. Not an easy fight for Griffin and it will be a very tough day at the office for him.
WINNER: Millender
METHOD: KO/TKO

PRELIMS (UFC Fight Pass)
Dan Hooker Vs Gilbert Burns (LW)
Possibly the toughest bout on the card to call. This is probably the one to leave of that accumulator bet you are about to put on.
WINNER: Hooker
METHOD: KO/TKO

Lando Vannata Vs Drakkar Klose (LW)
Another hard one to call. Vannata didn’t make it easy for himself in his last appearance against Bobby Green, but it should be a different story here.
WINNER: Vannata
METHOD: Decision

Jamie Moyle Vs Emily Whitmire (STRAW)
Being the only female bout on the card fans will be expecting Moyle and Whitmire to open the card in entertaining fashion. This is wishful thinking as it will definitely go the distance and definitely won’t be entertaining.
WINNER: Moyle
METHOD: Decision
