SMUGGLING DUDS UFC 255 GAMBLING GUIDE

As we head into the festive season fans still aren’t allowed to attend live events but thankfully the UFC continue to bring us fantastic televised cards. Long live MMA!

UFC 255

Main Card (BT Sport)
Deiveson Figueiredo (c) vs. Alex Perez (Flyweight)
Not exactly a top draw billing for casual fans but both fighters have looked like flyweight savages in their previous bouts and should put on a show for fans in this main event. Expect some moments of magic between these two that should go the distance and result in a very close decision.
WINNER: Figueiredo
METHOD: Decision

Valentina Shevchenko (c) vs. Jennifer Maia (Women's Flyweight)
Shevchenko is now at a point in her career where the UFC are really struggling to find her quality competition. Maia deserves to be in the mix but like many she’s not on the Tiger Muay Thai fighter’s level. Another clinic in striking on display here and a potential change in weight division in her next bout.
WINNER: Shevchenko
METHOD: KO/TKO

Maurício Rua vs. Paul Craig (Light Heavyweight)
Having met already in November 2019 where the result was a draw it was inevitable these two would meet again. Can Rua defy the odds and keep his incredible MMA career going into 2021? We’d like to think so.
WINNER: Rua
METHOD: Decision

Mike Perry vs. Tim Means (Welterweight bout)
At the time of writing this bout was still going ahead but come fight time who knows as it features Mike Perry and anything can happen – literally anything. Means is wise enough to know that Perry just wants to brawl but if he bides his time a submission opportunity could present itself in the final round. Means is a bit of a non-entity in the UFC and a win over Mike Perry could offer some spotlight on his career.
WINNER: Means
METHOD: Submission

Preliminary Card (BT Sport)
Katlyn Chookagian vs.Cynthia Calvillo (Women's Flyweight)
Fair play to Chookagian for stepping back in to the octagon so quickly following a difficult loss to Jessica Andrade last month (Chookagian was dismantled with a body shot) but it is a decision that could see her on the end of another defeat.
WINNER: Calvillo
METHOD: Decision

Brandon Moreno vs. Brandon Royval (Flyweight)
Regular readers to our gambling guides will remember we picked Royval to beat Kai Kara France when he was a big underdog. He won’t be the underdog on this occasion but the result should be the same.
WINNER: Royval
METHOD: Submission

Joaquin Buckley vs. Jordan Wright (Middleweight)
It is pretty difficult to bet against a fighter who produced one of the most electrifying knockouts in UFC history (if you didn’t know already Buckley took out his last opponent with a spinning back kick) but to he’s up against a very game (and undefeated) opponent in Jordan Wright.
WINNER: Wright
METHOD: KO/TKO

Antonina Shevchenko vs. Ariane Lipski (Women's Flyweight)
A tough one to call so maybe leave off any accumulators. Definitely going the distance it is just a case of who lands the most jabs and leg kicks!
WINNER: Shevchenko
METHOD: Decision

Alan Jouban vs. Jared Gooden (Welterweight)
Having proven himself on EFC and more recently Titan FC, ‘Nite Train’ makes his debut against season UFC veteran and now gatekeeper Alan Jouban. Jouban is perfectly capable of taking a decision here but we think Gooden steals a decision win.
WINNER: Gooden
METHOD: Decision

Early Preliminary Card (UFC Fight Pass)
Orion Cosce vs. Nicolas Dalby (Welterweight)
Former Cage Warriors champion Dalby has tried on many occasions to make a statement in the UFC but just can’t seem to get out of the starting blocks. Don’t forget this is his second crack at a UFC career but he really needs to pull it out the bag here. Unfortunately for the Danish star, he’s up against someone nearly 10 years younger who loves to go head hunting.
WINNER: Cosce
METHOD: KO/TKO

Kyle Daukaus vs. Dustin Stoltzfus (Middleweight)
Daukaus came in to the UFC on the back of an undefeated record of 9-0 but came up short in his Summer 2020 debut. He’ll be looking to wipe the slate clean but could go 0-2 in the UFC against the product of Dana Whites Contender Series.
WINNER: Stoltzfus
METHOD: Submission

Louis Cosce vs. Sasha Palatnikov (Welterweight)
Two fighters making their official UFC debut. The only difference being one is a product of Dana Whites Contender Series and just happened to be an undefeated knockout artist
WINNER: Cosce
METHOD: TKO/KO

UFC 255 WILD CARD BET: Mike Perry to defeat Time Means via KO/TKO
