SMUGGLING DUDS UFC ON FOX 22 GAMBLING GUIDE!

Here we are again, it only seems like five minute ago that we were picking 3 huge underdogs and going 8 out of 12 overall for UFC 206. As usual, please find it in your heart to spend some of your winnings with us!

MAIN CARD
Paige VanZant vs. Michelle Waterson (SW)
Most people have this down as being pretty even and we agree. Michelle Waterson is a good fighter and has been competing since 2007 so brings a lot of experience and won’t have any issues fighting a hometown favourite (Van Zant lives in Sacremento where the event takes place). The hometown advantage WILL play a factor in this bout and Van Zant will come out victorious. It is doubtful she’ll do in as spectacular style as her last outing but Van Zant absolutely hates losing (this became obvious following her only UFC loss to Rose Namajunes) and will grind out either a split or unanimous decision.
PREDICTION: Van Zant
METHOD: Decision

Sage Northcutt vs. Mickey Gall (WW)
Super Sage was once billed as the next MMA superstar but the UFC’s plans for the next GSP came crashing down in dramatic fashion when the young specimen was submitted in only his second UFC outing and to be honest, his last and third outing was nothing to write home about either. Both guys were scouted on the same reality TV show but that’s where it ends. Northcutt is a respectable, sweet as sugar karate expert where Gall is much more vocal and is happy to engage in trash talk. Gall walked through CM Punk in his UFC debut, it is doubtful he’ll do the same here but he should be able to handle Northcutt for a submission in the second round.
PREDICTION: Gall
METHOD: Submission

Urijah Faber vs. Brad Pickett (BW)
Regardless of the outcome this will be Urijah Faber’s final outing. The California Kid will bring the curtain down on an amazing career in front of his home city of Sacremento. We would love it if Pickett spoilt the party, but it won’t happen. Faber might hunt for the KO and end up scoring a UD but it is more likely he’ll get the back of the British slugger and work the submission.
PREDICTION: Faber
METHOD: Submission

Alan Jouban vs. Mike Perry (WW)
Mike Perry has won us some decent winnings in the past and we have every faith in him doing it again. Heavy hands will prevail in this one and Jouban is going to sleep.
PREDICTION: Perry
METHOD: KO/TKO

PRELIM CARD
Luis Henrique da Silva vs. Paul Craig (LHW)
Paul Craig becomes the next Scotsman to make his UFC debut. Coming off a string of impressive performances with BAMMA he faces another undefeated fighter in Luis Henrique. This is a tough debut for Craig and theres a chance he’ll be seeing stars come the second round.
PREDICTION: Henrique
METHOS KO/TKO

Cole Miller vs. Mizuto Hirota (FW)
A few people are counting Miller out for this one but we think there’s life in the old dog yet (not that he’ old but it certainly feels like he’s been around forever!).
PREDICTION: Miller
METHOD: Decision

Bryan Barberena vs. Colby Covington (WW)
Barberena is the guy who took Sage Northcutts sole by subbing him in his last outing. This goes along way in our book and he’ll do the same to Covington.
PREDICTION: Barberena
METHOD: Submission

James Moontasri vs. Alex Morono (WW)
Tough one to call. Morono pips him to the post come fight time.
PREDICTION: Morono
METHOD: Decision

Josh Emmett vs. Scott Holtzman (LW)
These guys are pretty evenly matched but the local fighter will scrape the decision.
PREDICTION: Emmett
METHOD: Decision

Leslie Smith vs. Irene Aldana (BW)
Smith is as tough as old boots but the younger Aldana will overwhelm her in this one. A possible KO is on the cards but more likely a decision
PREDICTION: Aldana
METHOD: Decision

UNDER CARD
Eddie Wineland vs. Takeya Mizugaki (BW)
Both veterans of the sport that are arguably in the twilight of their careers. Wineland arguably the hungriest to impress so should get the decision with better footwork, picking off Mizugaki.
PREDICTION: Wineland
METHOD: Decision

Hector Sandoval Vs Fredy Serrano (FW)
Really tough one to call! Regardless its going the distance.
PREDICTION: Serrano
METHOD: Decision

Bojan Velickovi Vs Sultan Aliev (WW)
Aliev hasn't fought since being KO'd in Jan 2015. Velickovi likes to draw out a fight. We think we know how this one ends.
PREDICTION: Velickovi
METHOD: Decision
