Dirt Wars 2013

It’s almost time for the Spank Dirt Wars crew to unleash 5 rounds of dirt jumping madness here in the UK. The forth year of the series is looking bigger and better than ever; with more prizes, awesome sponsors, top venues and a top organisation team, what more could you ask for apart from sunshine…

The Venue line up for 2013 is off the hook as per usual.

Round 1 will be held at the famous Wisley Trails in Surrey on the 26th of May.

Round 2 will be held at Holdshott Trails in Hampshire on the 16th of June.

Round 3 will be held at the Relentless Energy Drink NASS Festival in Somerset on the 12th - 14th of July.

Round 4 is still to be confirmed but will be held in August.

Round 5 The Big Final will be held at RocketWorld on Dorset/Somerset border on the 7th and 8th of September.

There may be changes to the scheduled dates above if there is bad weather effecting the venues but we are hoping that the calendar runs more as planned than it did in 2012.

Series Sponsors
Spank Industries are back for the second year as series title sponsors and we couldn’t be more stoked to have them back onboard for their 3rd year supporting us. Boasting a team of riders that include Darren ‘Bearclaw’ Berrecloth and Antony Messere Spank are know as serious suppliers of top quality DH, Freeride, Dirtjump and Race components as well as some super solid DJ Frames. Freddy Pulman took the win in the open series last year and now has a place onboard the Spank team so we will be keeping an eye on him this year to see how he gets on with the transition from the open to pro category…
The rest of the sponsorship line up is as follows:-

Platinum Sponsors

Spank Industries
Smuggling Duds
Kenda Tyres
Bulldog Tools

Gold Sponsors

DMR Bikes
Hayes Brakes
Sun Ringle
Illuminati Jeans
Dynamic Style (Official T-Shirt Sponsor)
Spy Optics has taken the sponsorship of the Best Trick Comp and will be supplying shop vouchers (to spend at slam69) for the winner at each round.

The series will be powered by Redbull Energy and they will be providing the riders with energy drink at each round to keep them on top form.
All video edits will be coming from the formidable duo of Dave Inglis and Olly Jelly and all photography will be taken care of by LePage Photography, so you can look forward to seeing some cracking edits and amazing photos from our media team.

We are hoping for better weather this year than the misery of a summer that was 2012. If however we do get downpours we have indoor skate parks on the ready so that we don’t get the succession of delays that we had last year.

Keep an eye out on for more series info over the coming months as the site gets regular updates on all things Dirt Wars related. You can also keep up to date on our Facebook page (The Spank Industries Dirt Wars UK Dirt Jump Series) and also on our twitter page (@DirtWarsUK)

We look forward to seeing you all on the 26th of May at Wisley trails in Surrey for round 1 of the series…..

Cliff, Rob and The DWUK Crew
