WORLD TOURING CAR CHAMPIONSHIP WITH BAMBOO ENGINEERING!

Smuggling Duds is proud to announce its continued association with Bamboo Engineering and it’s evolution into the World Touring Car Championship. Bamboo Engineering is a UK based independent WTCC (World Touring Car Championship) team, it was formed half way through last season and competed in the second half of the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship) but have subsequently graduated to the world stage.

They currently have two drivers signed up, our very own and British Harry Vaulkhard (AKA The Hazzelerator) and an up and coming Chinese star called Darryl O'Young, Darryl has raced at Lemans and Daytona 24 he's the 2 time Porsche Asia Super Cup Champion and a works Porsche driver so he knows his salt. Bamboo may also have a third car but negotiations regarding this are on-going.

The Bamboo Engineering team will be racing all over the world, they’re racing in one of three World Motor sport Championships, the others being F1 & WRC. The season gets underway at Brazil on the 7th March, then they head to Mexico on the 11th April. Perhaps one of the most exciting rounds is Macau at the end of the season, Macau is a gambling peninsula owned by Portugal in China, and is one of the three street circuits they will race at. Crowds last year exceeded 200,000 on race day, that’s more than visited the British GP last year over the whole weekend of practising, qualification and racing.

All the rounds are televised live on Eurosport and further info can be found on the Bamboo website, or our Twitter and Facebook feeds.
