CHE MILLS

Mixed Martial Artist

Che Mills exploded onto the main scene at UFC 138 with a devastating display of technique and precision striking beating TUF semi finalist Chris Cope via TKO due to knees and punch in 40sec of the very first round. Joe Rogan quoted: "Che Mills got some skills"

Che has always been a fan of the UFC since back in the day watching UFC 1 in school and has always followed the sport never really knowing that anyone, or any gym that did specialised in MMA. Che did a bit of boxing as a kid, but nothing serious and then a group of his friends said he should come down to a kickboxing class in Gloucester which turned out to be an MMA gym… so since the age of 19 Che started to train as a mixed martial artist.

At the age of 22 Che took his first semi-pro fight for local promotion Angrr Management and then went to fight a further 3 times as a professional. Che then went onto Cage Rage in 2006 beating Marius Zaromskis via KO and then went undefeated in 5 fight and was crown Cage Rage Welterweight Champion beating Marius Zaromskis for the second time in 2008.

Che got through to the elimination stage of The Ultimate Fighter series giving him great exposure and it was for here that Che’s profiles began to rise, despite losing out to the eventual winner James Wilkes, Che then fought for a number of promotions including Knuckle Up, BAMMA, Cage Mania in Spain and Astra in Japan, before really making a name for himself by scoring a dominate win against Jake Hetch who many thought that with a win over Che Jake would be off to the UFC. This was followed by a win for M1 in Russia against undefeated Magomed Shikshabekov.

Following a 3 fight winning streak against high level competition Che was once again asked to fight for BAMMA at the Wembley area against tough opponent Marcio Cesar with an impressive 14-4 record. Che put in his most dominate and professional win to date and what was a non televised event was broadcasted as a feature fight in the Live television broadcast on the SyFy channel.

Standout wins would be the second time I fought Marius Zaromskis winning the Cage Rage title, not only because of winning the belt but also the fact that Zaromskis was getting a load of attention at that point so it a great win, and also the win against Marcio Cesar, mainly because of Marcio had a big name and with the likes of Shogun in his corner and the way in which I won the fight was great”
