Dan Hardy is one of the most recognisable faces in MMA today and has been positioned in many world top 10 welterweight rankings over recent years. Hardy was the first ever Brit to compete for a UFC belt when he took on pound for pound best in George St-Pierre. His skills and true grit attitude have won him fans all over the world and we can’t wait to see “The Outlaw” sporting our Smuggling Duds boxers at his next UFC weigh-in!
Dan had been training in Tae Kwon Do since he was six years old. He moved on when taekwondo went down the Olympic route. He wanted real fights, so switched to Muay Thai instead. Hardy only became interested in Mixed Martial Arts after spending two months in China training with the Shaolin monks in 2002. He then came back to England and competed in amateur MMA tournaments until his professional debut in 2004.
Hardy is a member of Team Rough House alongside Paul Daley, Ross Pearson, Andre Winner, Nick Osipczak and Dean Amasinger. Hardy has also spent time recently training with Roy "Big Country" Nelson at his Country Club and in the past with Xtreme Couture, Leicester Shootfighters and the Wildcard Boxing Gym with legend Freddie Roach. He recently received his Purple Belt in 10th planet jiu jitsu from Eddie Bravo. Dan first wore our Smuggling Duds at his Shaolin weigh in where he faced off against Chris "Lights Out" Lytle.
